Kids enjoying Beyond The Bell in Balmain

A Day at BTB

Sydney’s Screen-Free, Outdoor Holiday Camps for Kids Aged 5–12

At Beyond The Bell, every day is designed to spark curiosity, teamwork, and joy — all without screens.
We offer two unique experiences for families:

  • 3-Day School Holiday Camps – immersive outdoor programs that build confidence and connection across Sydney Harbour.
  • Out and About Days – one-off days of specific interests, giving kids the chance to explore new places and experiences around Sydney.

Both are led by qualified educators and designed to help children move, create, and connect in real, meaningful ways.

3-Day Holiday Camps

Our signature 3-day school holiday camps are at the heart of Beyond The Bell. One and two days bookings are welcome!

Based at Balmain Rowing Club and nearby harbourside locations, these camps balance outdoor play, creative challenges, and community connection.

Each day offers a mix of team games, beach play, scavenger hunts, and hands-on activities that help kids build confidence and independence — all in a supportive, screen-free environment.

Out and About Days

(One-Off Days of Specific Interests)

Our Out and About Days take the Beyond The Bell spirit beyond our camps — giving kids special single-day experiences across Sydney that blend creativity, movement and exploration.

Art Day – Sydney Modern, NSW Art Gallery, MCA & Royal Botanic Gardens

Our Art Day celebrates creativity, curiosity and connection — inviting kids to explore some of Sydney’s most inspiring art and cultural spaces.

The day takes in Sydney Modern, the NSW Art Gallery, and the Museum of Contemporary Art (MCA), where children experience art in all its forms — from bold installations to storytelling through sculpture and paint.
Between gallery visits, we slow the pace with sketching and picnicking through the Royal Botanic Gardens, surrounded by colour, nature and fresh air.

After the success of our first Art Day in spring, we’re thrilled to bring it back — a full, screen-free day designed to inspire imagination and spark new ways of seeing the world.

Paddle & Play – Greenwich Baths or Watsons Bay

Our Paddle & Play day celebrates water confidence, teamwork and Sydney summer fun.
Held at either Greenwich Baths or Watsons Bay, kids take part in beach games, nature hunts and supervised water play led by qualified educators and lifeguards. It’s a joyful, splash-filled day of laughter and connection — safe, active and 100 % screen-free.

  • Refillable water bottle
  • Hat and sunscreen
  • Comfortable closed-toe shoes
  • Lightweight rain jacket if the weather looks uncertain
  • Any medications that your child may require, clearly labelled and handed directly to staff at drop-off

For water-based or outdoor days:

  • Goggles (optional)

Other helpful items:

  • Small backpack
