Join us at Balmain Rowing Club for our Balmain Juniors Spring Program, designed especially for younger children, with flexible 1, 2 or 3-day options and extended care available for working families.
This program is ideal for children aged 4–6, including those preparing for school, new to holiday programs or still building confidence in group settings.
Each day is a gentle mix of outdoor play, simple games, creative activities and exploration, making the most of the beautiful harbour setting and nearby park spaces.
Activities are designed to keep children engaged without becoming overwhelmed. The pace is intentionally slower, with clear structure, regular breaks and time to reset throughout the day.
Our experienced educators provide close support, helping children settle in, make friends and feel comfortable in a new environment.
We focus on building confidence, independence and social skills in a calm, positive way, with plenty of encouragement along the way.
With small groups and higher staff ratios, children are well supported at all times, whether they are joining independently or still need a little extra reassurance.
Expect fresh air, plenty of movement, imaginative play and happy, engaging days outdoors.
Suitable for children aged 4–6 years.

Join us for a special outdoor day combining hands-on brick building, creative challenges and a harbour adventure.
Kids will use imagination, problem-solving and STEM-inspired thinking as they build, create and swap ideas with friends in a relaxed, supportive setting.
Each child will receive their own bespoke brick storage box filled with a mix of building pieces to use throughout the day and take home afterwards.
With guidance from Beyond The Bell educators, children can take on optional building challenges, work on their own creations and enjoy plenty of open-ended free-build time.
We’ll meet at Balmain Scout Hall before travelling by ferry to a scenic harbourside location for a picnic, outdoor games and a brick-themed scavenger hunt.
Children can join the group at Balmain Scout Hall or from selected additional ferry wharves, including Neutral Bay, Rose Bay and Greenwich Point. Where an additional wharf pick-up has been arranged, a Beyond The Bell staff member will meet the child at that wharf and return them to the same location at the end of the day, in accordance with arrangements made directly with their parent or carer.
Children joining from any location must bring their own topped-up Opal card for ferry travel.
It’s the perfect day for kids who love to build and create, but also want to get outside, explore and stay active.
Suitable for children aged 5–12 years.

Our Girls Out + About Day is a special Beyond The Bell adventure for girls aged 7 to 13 who love spending time with friends, exploring beautiful places and enjoying a relaxed day out together.
This Spring edition takes us across Sydney Harbour by ferry to Watsons Bay, where the girls can enjoy a scenic picnic, beach games and time to swim in the shark-netted enclosure at Watsons Bay Baths, subject to weather, water conditions and parent permission.
Girls can join the group from Balmain or from selected additional ferry wharves, including Neutral Bay, Rose Bay and Greenwich Point. Where an additional wharf pick-up has been arranged, a Beyond The Bell staff member will meet the child at that wharf and return them to the same location at the end of the day, in accordance with arrangements made directly with their parent or carer.
From the moment the group meets, children are fully supervised by Beyond The Bell educators as we travel, explore, picnic, swim and enjoy the harbour together.
The vibe is relaxed, social and pressure-free, with plenty of time for chatting, laughing, sharing playlists, playing games and simply enjoying being outdoors with new and familiar friends.
We’ll also stop by the forever-favourite Yo-Chi, a highlight for the girls every time.
Our group leaders bring warm, big-sister energy, keeping the day fun, inclusive and well supervised while giving the girls space to feel independent, confident and part of the group.
This program is designed for girls aged 7 to 13 years, with some flexibility around ages.
Each child must bring their own topped-up Opal card for ferry travel.
Girls should also bring their own spending money if they would like to purchase Yo-Chi or another snack during the day.
