Beyond The Bell Juniors — Holiday Program for 4-6 Year Olds

This January, we’re excited to launch Beyond The Bell Juniors, our special program created just for children preparing to start school in 2026. (with older siblings being welcome!)

Hosted at the Kirribilli Neighbourhood Centre, our Juniors program offers a caring, screen-free environment where little ones can play, create and connect — with the support of qualified educators and a 1:7 staff ratio, even lower than most preschools.

We'll also be running this program alongside our classic BTB holiday camp at Balmain Rowing Club, for ease of our existing families.

We’ve booked the Centre’s beautiful, newly renovated room overlooking the playground — a bright and welcoming space will fill with music, craft, books and imaginative play. Each day balances indoor fun with time outdoors, including ventures to the nearby park when weather and energy allow.

It’s the perfect mix of comfort, creativity and community — giving children the chance to make new friends (or reconnect with preschool ones!) and gently build confidence before their big school journey begins.

Each morning, your child can proudly pack their lunch box, drink bottle, and a few essentials for the day. It’s a lovely way to help them build confidence, independence and a sense of routine — especially for those heading off to kindergarten in 2026.

Inside their bag, please include:

• Packed lunch, morning tea, and water bottle
• Hat and sunscreen for outdoor play
• A spare change of clothes, just in case
• Anything that helps them feel comfortable — for some, that might be a small soft toy or favourite book

We’ll take care of everything else — from creative crafts to story time and park play.

Every bag, every smile, and every small 

“I did it myself!” moment is part of what makes Beyond The Bell Juniors so special.

Bring your favourite teddy or soft friend for a day of stories, 

songs and imaginative play!
We’ll make friendship crowns, create mini picnic mats, and share a group picnic at the park (weather permitting).
It’s a perfect ice-breaker for new friends and a gentle first day of Juniors.

A day for little hands and big ideas!
Children will explore colour, texture and creativity through paint, collage and glue.
We’ll set up “creation stations” and display our artworks for a pop-up gallery walk before home time.

Morning adventures outdoors with group games, bug hunts and nature crafts.
We’ll collect leaves and twigs for our “Nature Discovery Boards” and enjoy a relaxed lunch under the trees before returning for quiet reading and rest time.

A favourite with our Juniors!
Children are invited to come dressed as their favourite character. 

We’ll build a mini stage for group storytelling, sing-alongs and puppet fun.
The week finishes with a celebration of creativity and confidence — every child’s moment to shine.
